Painting in the Greenfield Library has been delayed so the library will be open on Friday, July 31. Friday hours are 8:15 a.m.-4:00 p.m. in the summer.
Interlibrary Loan service will be temporarily suspended from July 24 to August 16, 2009.
This includes WorldCat, the online method for requesting interlibrary loan materials.
Contact Casey Murphy @ 6280 or firstname.lastname@example.org after July 24, for more information.
Have a great summer!
The card catalogs, which have not been actively updated since 1993, are finally gone! They have been removed to make room for additional seating and a rearrangement of shelving units. Thanks to Pat Uditsky, Facilities, for removing the card catalogs and cabinets for us.
If anyone is interested in having some of the cards from the old catalog for art work, note paper, or even as memorabilia contact Carol Graney, director of libraries.
The Greenfield Library will be closed on Friday, July 31, for painting. Since the first floor of the library is two stories high, lifts must be used to prepare and paint the ceiling. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we make improvements to the Greenfield Library facility. The “before” photograph shows the rusted pipes on the ceiling that must be scraped and painted. Can’t wait to share the “after” picture!
