Staff Recommendation – India: Art Now

India- Art Now cover

New at the Greenfield Library!

India: Art Now features photographs, interviews, and essays from an exhibition of contemporary Indian artists at the Danish modern art museum, Arken. The project was meant to bring India and the West together by promoting cultural and artistic exchange.  The featured work is primarily installation and sculptural art. The artists deal with issues such as urban and economic life,  personal narrative and experience, and Indian identity in local and global contexts.  The images and essays from this exhibit give the reader a sense of perspective on the chaotic and beautiful elements of the contemporary Indian experience.
