Postcards From No Man’s Land is a book which manages to bounce back and forth between two expertly woven stories. It starts as the story of a young man, who travels to Amsterdam in order to honor his grandfather’s participation in the Battle of Arnhem during World War II. The story is then enhanced by the tale of a woman who housed the boy’s grandfather during the time of the war. As the two stories converge, the events of the past and present are beautifully melded together to create an excellent and emotional story involving both love and war.
